What does regenerative mean?
When a digital artwork is minted on the blockchain, it takes a large amount of energy. This has been the main complaint about this emerging new technology. Phosphene and their collaborating artists instill carbon offset credits in every sale so the energy expended and carbon released from that expenditure is offset in its entirety. Additionally- Phosphene donates a percentage of its profits to companies actively scrubbing and storing carbon that already exists in our atmosphere.
